Mont St. Michel et St. Malo

It was a bit of a cold and foggy morning, but it added to the mystique that is Mont St. Michel. We had quite the trek in this little village, climbing up the narrow road to the Abbey at the top. Once we arrived, students were able to have their own audio guide and take the tour of the abbey at their leisure. There was a little bit of time to grab a bite or pick up some souvenirs before loading back up on the bus.

The afternoon was spent in the town of St. Malo, which is also on the coast and is a walled city. At this point, the fog and clouds had parted and it was a beautiful, sunny day! Some students took the opportunity to walk on the sand, some headed for the shops, and some took a leisurely stroll around the top of the medieval walls. It would have been easy to pass a few more hours in this great town, but we needed to get back to Rennes before school let out.

Upon arrival, students met their host families and bid us "adieu" until the next morning :)

Today (Tuesday) was another fantastic day, but I'll keep you in suspense until tomorrow.... ;)

What a difference an hour makes! The clouds parted just in time for our arrival to St. Malo.

Rachel A's pink shoes remind me of a pair I had 20 years ago :)
